The Upper Murrumbidgee Catchment Network (UMCN) is your go-to community network for sharing, learning and talking about natural resource management (NRM) in the Upper Murrumbidgee Catchment. We bring together local community groups, individuals, business and government bodies – because looking after our environment is something we all need to do together.

Our members come from all walks of life, with a range of experiences and views. That diversity is one of our greatest strengths. We encourage everyone to get involved, raise awareness and have their say on the issues that matter to our environment and communities.

We create opportunities for people to connect – through meetings, field trips, newsletters and social media, forums and by contributing to public conversations and inquiries. It’s about breaking down barriers, sharing knowledge and building a stronger voice for the Catchment.

UMCN recognises and addresses the complexity of government jurisdictions across the region and provides a neutral setting for networking, collaborating and achieving shared objectives. Our regional approach is important because land, water and environmental issues don’t stop at council or state boundaries.

We’re a not-for-profit, community-based association, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.

Everything we do is about helping the Catchment community care and protect our shared natural resources – now and into the future.
