Wrapping UP 2025 – Our AGM Highlights

On Wednesday, 5 November 2025, we held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and final General Meeting for the year. It was a great opportunity to reflect on our achievements, present our Annual Report, and elect our new Executive Committee for the year ahead.

A big thank you goes to our outgoing Chair, Andy Lowes, for his dedicated leadership and the energy he brought to the role. Under his guidance, the UMCN has made a real difference — building stronger connections and leaving a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit our community well into the future.

We also thanked Katie Ryan who stepped down from the Treasurer role for her contributions for this important role over a number of years. We are pleased to have six continuing members bringing experience and continuity to the team.

We are excited to welcome our new Chair, Terry Korodaj, who brings over 20 years of experience across the southern Murray–Darling Basin in water and catchment management, aquatic and terrestrial conservation, and environmental water planning and delivery. Terrry’s background in community engagement and group facilitation will be a great asset as we look to the year ahead.

We also welcomed three new members to the committee – Dr Michael Robinson (CEO, Landcare ACT), Mikaylah Fogarty (Alluvium Consulting) and Jim Wharton (President, Upper Murrumbidgee Landcare Committee) – bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and new perspectives.

Finally, a big thank you to all our members and supporters for your continued encouragement and involvement. We are looking forward to another exciting and productive year ahead.
